We created an in-store customer app for Hisense which was a .Net Core development with a rich User Interface, that allows users to go instore, shop on their mobile devices, make payment, and just collect the goods at dispatch with everything living in the Acumatica database but with a custom user interface.

  • Customers enter the store and scan the score ID that takes them to a login
  • They then enter their mobile number and we supply a code for them to authenticate their device on login
  • Clients can then scan the products they wish to purchase
  • When they are finished shopping they simply check out and select their payment method
  • We Integrated to their preferred banking suppliers
  • Once payment confirmation is received by the bank we automatically create the sales order and related receipt in Acumatica and return the order confirmation to the device

We created the app for the client for offline deliveries as well as for offline orders using .Net Core with multi-lingual capabilities to run the app in English or Afrikaans with any other language being able to be added in hours thanks to the inherent product design. The reason for this was that the client operated in farmlands where there was limited or no cellular connectivity. At time of delivery confirmation the Driver will confirm the item and quantity with a dual signature verification function for Driver and Customer. On returning to the office (or at any other time) the driver or delivery clerk has the ability to upload these deliveries to Acumatica. The primary reason for the app development was that the Acumatica app was not Bi-Lingual, did not have offline-capabilities, and did not have the User Interface that could be achieved using a separate technology.

In terms of process –

  • The user logs in to the app using their Acumatica login credentials
  • Then selects the Shipping / Deliver Zone
  • After selection we load the Open Shipments onto the app
  • At time of delivery the driver can change the quantities and proceed to a dual signature function for Customer and Driver
  • Once they are back at the office the update function will load confirm the deliveries in Acumatica and upload the signatures
  • For offline orders the same function applies where drivers can take orders on the road with a function to refresh available on hand quantities only ensuring minimal data usage

Perhaps our sexiest development to date, this was designed for staff members in a work area to be able to process service orders within 20 seconds which our application managed to do in 5 seconds. This was developed in .Net core with all data reading and writing directly to the Acumatica database ensuring an immediate and real-time update. This function was extended with the following features:

  • A setup screen defining the Serviceable Items Branch and Location ensuring quick access to only items in that area
  • A quick item selection with touch-screen design for Severity and Error Type reading integrated from the data in Acumatica
  • A visual display of all repair items that require attention with a timer and colour coded function to easily identify downtime length of time
  • Ability for the users or technicians to close off the Service Order from the app itself

This function allows users to soft-allocate transactions or portions of transactions within the same account against each other allow you to offset and only show “unallocated” entries. A good example for the use of this feature would be allocations or “offsetting “of provision and accruals with the Debit and Credit of specific transactions being Allocated against each other to only show the remaining. In simplistic terms this would be an account reconciliation without any actual processing transactions. A core part of the design is that it will allow you to create amount Allocations across periods however if the Account Enquiry is run for a period where an allocation transaction has an allocation in a future period, the system will not show the allocations in that period ensuring that the closing balance will always be correct. The process is as follows:

  • Create an Allocating transaction with an Allocating Transaction Header name and date. Thereafter you can allocate debits and debits of transactions against each other with earlier dates.
  • You can then save the allocating transaction if the allocating debits agree to the allocating credits.
  • You can also edit the allocating transactions at any time during the process however allocating debits and credits gave to agree.
  • Then run the enquiry showing all transactions with original or allocated transactions with the ability to exclude net Zero’s.

Another product born from our customer requirements is our Trade Creditor Reconciliation function. This feature performs a 3-way reconciliation between your Creditors Statement, your Acumatica Vendor Transactions and your Remittance Advice. There is also controls to ensure that users don’t pay invoices with amounts that are greater than the supplier invoice value and ensures strict controls and traceability on all reconciliations and related payments. To process the reconciliation, you simply.

  • Import the bank statement and map the cautious fields. Once done the system retains the mapping for future imports
  • After the statement is imported, the system will auto-allocate matched transactions so that you only have to work on the unmatched transactions. This is deal for suppliers with Large Volumes of transactions
  • Apply the transactions on the statement to that of the system. We can also apply multiple transactions against one amount where there could be a supplier invoice and credit note that offsets against a system invoice
  • Once allocations and payments are set the user prints the reconciliation and authorises or processes the payment for approval
